Nyx is sweet, gentle, and mild-mannered. She gets along well with all 4 of her female canine housemates, takes new situations in stride, and approaches everything thrown at her with quiet confidence. She's an easy and an enthusiastic learner and overall eager to work and please, making her a great training and competition partner. She has shown drive in harness - we enjoy bikejoring together the most, but she has trialled in weight pull as well (Nyx earned all of her WWPD legs early in 2023). She has an aptitude and joy for rally obedience and agility, so we plan to pursue both! Given her gentle and calm temperament, she will likely be a good candidate for therapy dog visits.
We have enjoyed success in the conformation ring, too. Nyx started off with a bang in AKC, winning BOS and BOW from the 6-9 puppy class over mature class animals her first two weekends out. She has taken RWB from the 6-9 puppy class over mature animals under an experienced breeder judge. Nyx is no longer eligible for AKC shows, but may be shown in working specialties and UKC Altered classes. Nyx comes to us from our friend and mentor Karin of Anua Alaskan Malamutes (out of her girl Nova and Joyce Osborn's Bandit) and we will be forever grateful for such a lovely girl to start our journey in the breed. |
